Hi, my name is Erica Lugbill, and I own Lugbill Designs, a residential interior design and remodeling firm in Chicago. Today I'm going to be discussing how to keep paint off your windows when you're painting your trim. Sadly, I don't have a magic trick for you. There's no simple solution. But I do have a couple of things that might make it a little bit easier. First of all, old tried and true, painter's tape. Just tape along the edge of your window and you'll paint on to the tape and be able to peel the tape up after you're done. This is time consuming. The second option is to just paint away using no tape or anything, and then use this handy little razor blade to get the paint off the glass in the end. Sometimes it can be hard to get that paint up and it takes a little bit of elbow grease but it's doable. Depending on how fast you are at taping, this might be quicker. And then a third little trick I have is to use vaseline and you just rub vaseline along the edges of the glass on your windows and then when you're done painting, the paint is a lot easier to remove and you may be able to just use a putty knife to get the paint off. Thanks for joining me today. I hope you found these tips helpful. To see more of my work, go to
