Hi, my name is Erica Lugbill, and I own Lugbill Designs, a residential interior design and remodeling firm in Chicago. Today I'm going to be discussing how to decorate your kitchen using earth tones. Nothing beats the combination of rich warm woods with earth tone colors. I just love the combination of the two. So, right here you can see I have some great earth tone paint colors. That's the first place to start. Take your cabinetry sample, which whatever tone it may be, and then decide which one you like best together. This should be easy. You can't really go wrong with this combination. It's so warm and inviting. So, I like this darker cabinetry, I naturally lean towards it, and I love green tones. So I'm gonna stick right here. I love this combination. There's good contrast to it, and then another great opportunity to introduce an earth tone is in your back splash tile. So here I have three different tile options. Which really any of them would go beautifully with this combination. You can't really go wrong. I'm gonna choose this light crackled ivory porceline tile. And then, you can bring in counter tops. And you can switch up the order of this depending on if you have heart set on one specific counter top, or one specific tile, make the rest of it work around what you absolutely love. So, right off the back I think this looks beautiful with this combination. And again, you have gorgeous earth tones within the stone. And then if you have a window in your kitchen, my favorite window treatment is these woven wood shades. I love the texture, and it looks amazing with these earth tones that we have going on in the kitchen. So there are several different options for you to choose from color wise, but I like this one with its combination. Thanks for joining me today. I hope you've found these tips helpful.
