Hi, my name is Erica Lugbill and I own Lugbill designs, a residential interior design and remodeling firm in Chicago. Today I'm going to be covering what accessories go with a blue sofa. General rule of thumb, I like to keep it nice and simple and neutral and light. I think nothing looks better with a blue sofa than the light creamy colors, whites, pastelly colors are beautiful with it, and I always add an element of metal to the room. I think it creates a very sophisticated look. So, as you can see here, I don't have a blue sofa but I do have this blue fabric that gives you a good idea of what it will look like. You can see how beautifully this just light, neutral, kind of an ivory tan looks paired up with that and then, once you start bringing in more neutral tones, the key to doing neutrals without it being too boring and bland is to mix up the saturation of the color of the neutrals. This is a little bit deeper and it has this rich brown accent on it so it creates a very layered look with a lot of dimension instead of just being all boring flat ivory or white. So, you can see once we start bringing these in how beautifully they pair and then, whether you add some silver accents, you can see how great that looks thrown into the mix. If you like silver over a gold or a bronze, a gold would be beautiful also, and then my favorite is bringing in this bronze textured lamp. I just love how these finishes and colors interact together. Thanks for joining me today. I hope you've found these tips helpful. To see more of my work go to lugbilldesigns.com.
