Hi, everyone. I'm model Jaimie Hilfiger, and the niece of legendary fashion icon Tommy Hilfiger. Today, I'm going to explain to you the problems we have with low-rise pants. Low-rise pants are intended to sit low on or just below the hips. They came into popularity in the 1960s and recently regained popularity in the '90s and 2000s. Some people take the low-rise trend a little too far. Remember, not every trend is intended for everyone's body type. The first problem we could run into with the low-rise trend is exposing your underwear, thong, and parts of your backside that I'd really not want to mention. This can make your look look instantly trashy, and nobody wants that. The second problem that people could have with low-rise pants is that they show off the unattractive muffin top. Now ladies, we all know what this is. This happens even on the skinniest of women because the low-rise pants sit at the part of your hips that just has a little bit more extra skin. So we're going to show that muffin top off, which no one wants to. And lastly the problem is they're just impractical and uncomfortable. Let's face it, you can't always find a chair with a closed back or tie something around your waist that would ruin your whole outfit. What happens if you drop something or need to tie your shoe? You're basically out of luck. So next time when you're shopping and you see a pair of low-rise pants, consider the consequences. Again, I'm Jaimie Hilfiger, coming to you from LIVE! On Sunset, and I'll see you next time.
