When was the last time you attended a fair? No funnel cakes, no Ferris wheels, a job fair. Hello I'm Charles Galbreath, workforce empowerment speaker and human resource professional. I want to share with you the advantages of attending job fairs. Job fairs can be very important to a person whose been out of work for awhile. First of all a job fair can be something that opens up your eyes to the variety of professions that exist. Many times we can be very tunnel vision about the professions that we want to approach. But job fairs showcase varieties of professions but they also showcase a variety of companies that you might be interested in. The next advantage of a job fair would be that you get an opportunity to speak with a live person who works in the organization whose sole purpose is to be there to answer questions for you. And to get you more knowledgeable and hopefully bring you in if you have the right skills to that organization. The next thing that can be very valuable is the networking that job fairs offer. There are tons of people who are also attending these job fairs who can help you in understanding some more ways to find a job.Or they can also point you in the right direction of other job fairs that are coming up. So again the networking, the opportunity to speak to a live person. And of course the variety of professions and the variety of companies that are offered can all be very valuable for a person who is out in the workforce searching for a job. Look for your next job fair and enjoy. Thank you.
