Hi everyone, this is Gene and I'm a Graphic Designer and Illustrator for a little over 15 years. And today, we're going to be taking a look at how you can use Epsom salts to paint winter scenes. This is going to be fantastic. Come on let's take a look. Alright. So, let's say that you've been working on a painting for a really long time. Like this one in particular, we've been working on for at least, at least ten hours, maybe 12. This is little mountainscape from the middle of the blizzard. Now, I want to make it look, make the snow at least look a little more authentic and one of the things that you can do that's pretty easy but will truly set your painting apart is you can use Epsom salts. Now, Epsom salts are good because they give your paintings some texture and they also look like snow. So, lets' say on the top of the snowy mountain here, we want to make it look really snowy. So, we're going to grab this glue stick right here and just glue right over the top of this bad boy here. Make sure the painting is dry by the way. And then, I'm going to grab some Epsom salts and just spill them right onto there. Now, apply this pretty liberally because what you're going to want to do is press down. Use a, use a quite a bit of pressure because the glue stick glue isn't that powerful, so it needs a little help and that just adds to the texture there. So, it's okay. In fact, I'm going to grab the giant jug here and just pour a bunch around here. Okay. So, that's a whole lot of salt, probably too much. But, it's okay 'cause we're going to take the extra Epsom salt once this is all dry and most of it is glued down. And we're just going to lift up the page and remove some of the salt but just let it spill off the page. And as you can see, a bunch of it stayed on the glue here and it gives the illusion of you actually having snow on the top of your mountain. So, that's all there really is to it. Just a glue stick and some Epsom salt. Alright everyone, so there's just one of the many things that you can do with Epsom salts in addition to soaking your feet in them. Hopefully that was a little more fun for you and we'll catch you next time.
