Hi, my name is Mitchell Smith, managing partner of Universal Insurance Services and Universal Partners. Today, we're going to discuss the importance of insurance in the business field. Insurance in the business field is extremely important. When you have a business, if you have partners, or key people, or you have lots of employees where you have risks, or you need benefits, insurance really is related to all of those. Obviously, health insurance stands for itself. Liability insurance, if someone comes into your office, something happens, or an employee does something they shouldn't, or you do something you shouldn't, you need insurance for that protection. If you have a partner and they're married, obviously, if something happens to them, unfortunately, that spouse will become your partner. There's not much you can do about that. They may want to run the business their way. A simple agreement funded with insurance will avoid that issue. If you have a top sales person, and God forbid, something happens to them, disability or death, what are you going to do? How are you going to hire someone? What's the impact to your revenue? Life insurance and disability insurance will take care of that problem. If you have plans for your executives or for yourself, meaning you want to save money, and you want to do it efficiently and cost effectively, life insurance--believe it or not--is a form of a way to do that, in deferred compensation and other strategies. Talk to an insurance professional or a financial executive, and they'll help you with these strategies. Thanks for watching today's discussion on the importance of insurance in the business field.
