Hi, I'm Mitchell Smith, managing partner of Universal Insurance Services and Universal Partners, and today we're going to discuss how to sell group life insurance policies. Selling group products such as life insurance can be difficult but also can be very profitable to your business. Depending on who you are selling to, whether it's a small business, a mid size business or an association, really effects what you are trying to sell for a living. You may sell group term insurance where a company may be looking for just something small to offer to themselves or to their employees or executives. Talking about executives, they may want to do something very specific for them, larger amounts of insurance and looking into permanent insurance products that may have cash values and that could spill over into different plans like deferred compensation and other ideas. So selling group products can be complicated but again, can be very profitable. I would look into more of what the real need of the company is and if they are trying to retain their people or just basically make them happy with new benefit packages. Talk to an insurance agent or an insurance brokerage firm and they'll definitely be able to help you with more of this concept.
