Hi, my name is Mathew Pierce, I'm a software engineer, and today I'd like to talk with you about opening up .ptb files. Now .ptb files are power tab files that contain bass or guitar tablatures used for bass guitar and guitar sheet music. Now these files can be opened with a freely available TuxGuitar. You can go to tuxguitar.en.softonic.com/download and get it. It's available for all the major platforms Windows, Mac, Linux. You could also get TabView for the Mac if you'd like. It's another one that you can download. Do a demo of it or a trial but it's also with a paid version. And then you can also do a Power Tab that you can get off the internet too. You can get these just by you know doing a Google for TuxGuitar or TabView, or Power Tab. And once you get them you can just download them and install them. Now to open up a power tab file in Tux view is very simple. You just go to the file menu and say file, open. And then you can leave it right there to all supportive formats. And maneuver to where ever your file is or if you want to just find a .ptb file you select PowerTab like that. And it will filter it out for the PowerTab files. And you should be able to locate open it, edit it, and do whatever you would like with it. My name is Mathew Pierce, today we talked about opening .ptb files. Thanks for watching.
