Hi, I'm Mathew Pierce I'm a software engineer, and today I'd like to talk to you about how to open files in Gimp. Now Gimp stands for Ganu Image Manipulation Program . It's an open source image manipulation program similar to like Photoshop or something like that nature for you know editing images or creating new images, or what have you. It's free available, it runs on Windows, Mac, Linux, a few of the other Unixes. You can go to www.gimp.org and download it. And here it's free available. It figures out what my system is that's why it's giving me the Windows version right here. But you can download it, install it. It opens up many different types of files. To open up a file is really simple. You just go over to the file menu. You say open. You maneuver to wherever the file is that you want to open. You double click it whatever open it. And there it is. This just happens to be a public domain cover from the Gutenberg Project. So anyway that's how you open a file with Gimp. My name is Mathew Pierce thanks for watching.
