Hi, my name's Alex Cecilio. I'm gonna show you how to edit fashion photos in Photoshop. So, I have a picture here, and I'm gonna show you how to edit a fashion photo for like a 'zine or for, you know, Facebook, or for a website. So the first thing you're gonna do is pay attention to your color and your contrast, because usually fashion photography has decently contrasted colors and light sources. So, what you're gonna wanna do is first thing, go to this little half circle, half black half white, and go to brightness/contrast, and just play around with the brightness and the contrast. If I don't really even need to play with contrast, just the brightness, I mean, sorry, yeah. Alright. And then, you can right click and select merge down, and this will make it so your photo is now just one layer, and then you can keep using this half black half white circle for quite a few things. You can go to levels and this will adjust your dark light pretty drastically, if you're looking to do that for certain elements of your photo, like shadows or light. And, you can merge that down again. And, selective color is definitely the one that you're probably gonna wanna play with the most, 'cause fashion photos almost always have really saturated or bright colors, even if the clothing isn't bright or saturated, it's still has to be pretty, you know, bright, so that it's attractive, it will make someone wanna buy it. So, I would recommend going to that little circle again, and on the very bottom select selective color. And this will really give you some good options for changing the color of what you're wearing. So, for example, my red hat. This photo doesn't do it any justice because it was really red, so I'm gonna go ahead and change that, make it pretty bright, and then that green coat also needs quite a bit of brightening, so then you can play around with that. Okay. And the blacks. the cool thing about, as you can see, now that the photo is slightly enhanced, you can see it's actually has some folds in it that you couldn't see before when it was dark like that, so. Okay. And then, if you go to your neutrals, this one, be careful which filter you decide to use when you're on your neutrals, 'cause it's neutrals takes care of the entire image, so, if your overall color is green, like in this one, it will stick out a lot more than if it was, say yellow or red. So you just wanna make it look as. Then the white, on the far right you can see there's quite a bit of white. So you can always change that. And then, once you've done that, you can merge it down again, and if you're still unsatisfied, I'd say keep doing a brightness contrast thing, but don't heavily contrast it too, too much. And there's your fashion photo. And if you want to, you can even crop it. I mean, so that way any outstanding nonsense can stay out. And there's your fashion photo. My name's Alex, and this is how you edit fashion photos in Photoshop. Thank you.
