Hi, my name is Christina Gavenda, at DomesticFelicity.com, and today we're going to talk about how to get your master bedroom ready for a baby. Some people prefer using a nursery from the first day on, but a lot of people find having the baby in the same room with them, a bonding, and much easier experience than having them in a different room, especially for the first three months. You can arrange your master bedroom in a way that's comfortable for you and your partner when you wake up at night to nurse your baby. Having a clean and comfortable space is really important, and making sure all the clutter is picked up and furniture is arranged in a safe way, so that when you get up you're not tripping or falling over things. And also, have the baby close by. You're going to be really tired and they're going to be waking up to feed several times a night, especially at first. Getting the dust off the floor and out of the air is really important for a brand new baby, especially if you have carpet and it traps quite a bit of dust and dirt in it. You can use a steam cleaning company to get this out, or you can rent something of your own and then just make sure it dries completely. The main thing is having a safe space for you and your baby to sleep, making sure that dressers are anchored to the wall for when they're mobile, and also making sure that the baby's bed is positioned in a way that it's not going to cause you problems when getting up at night. Thanks so much for watching. My name's Christina Gavenda, and that's how to get your master bedroom ready for a baby.
