Hi, I'm Cherish Flieder, designer of Somethingtocherish.com, and today I want to talk to you about how you can use newspaper clippings to Mod Podge a project. So to begin I've cut up a section of the comic strips because it's wonderfully colored and I think that will make a nice texture and color as I wrap around this Z. So I'm just going to start on the front and you know, it's not important that we have clean cut edges. So I'm just going to actually tear anything that's a little bit too long. We could go and just Mod Podge the front like this or you could go in smaller strips and plan to Mod Podge around the back. So depending on what your preference is. So as you are applying the newspaper clippings to your Mod Podge piece, be aware of the different colors that you put next to each other, try to mix it up and if there is something meaningful, definitely work around a way to feature that prominently on your display. And if you get to a point where you're running out of wet Mod Podge areas, feel free to start another layer of coat. So since the base I started with was a standard chipboard color and looks just like newspaper, I'm not concerned about getting all the way around the sides but I do want to fold these flaps over. So what I'm going to do is Mod Podge the sides of the letter so that way when I fold over, they'll stick. I'm Cherish. Thanks for joining me and learning how to Mod Podge using newspaper clippings. Now, I hope you'll go live life to the fullest and make it something to cherish.
