Now, back in my day, I'm not gonna say how long ago, but you we're not allowed to wear open-toed shoes to school because it presents some inherent dangers. For one, a book bag can fall on you, sometimes book bags can weight up to 75 pounds. Number two, you can stub your toe, like on a locker, or someone can step on your toe and actually break it. Number three, you have to change your shoes for PE anyways, so, it's better to bring a pair of closed-toe shoes. Now, my niece just informed me, we can wear open-toed shoes all the time. It's a new world, it's a new day, but the dangers are still there. So those are some of the inherent dangers of wearing open-toed shoes to school.
