Hi, my name is Christina Gavenda at Domesticfelicity.com, and today we're going to talk about ways to improve attachment with newborns. My personal favorite is a nursing pillow. This is such a helpful piece of furniture when you're trying to get used to your newborn when you're nursing or if you are choosing to bottle feed. It really helps with posture. A lot of new moms struggle with posture with their first or second child getting used to not hunching over but sitting in a comfortable position and bringing your baby to yourself, bringing your baby to yourself, so that you can look in their eyes, touch them, talk to them. This is how your baby learns, not through educational TV shows or other things that might be made for babies to stimulate them. Those things can be really helpful but this is the best way that your baby learns is through your physical touch, voice and attention. One of my favorite ways of improving attachment with your baby is sleeping with them near you. You can get bed attachments so that they can sleep right next to you on the bed in a safe way that's flush with your bed but it's not on your bed so that they are perfectly safe and you're comfortable but they're right there and you can put a hand over next to them, feel them breathe and spend time with them and pull them close when they need you at night. Thanks so much for watching. My name is Christina Gavenda, and those are a couple of ways of improving newborn attachment.
