Hi, my name is Christina Gavenda at and today, we're going to talk about bringing a baby to your toddler. Bringing a baby to your toddler is a really exciting and fun way for them to get to meet little babies and it's not as scary as it might seem. You just want to make sure that you set them in a safe location, like in the corner of a sofa or recliner and make sure their arms are propped up in a way that it's pretty easy for them to keep their arms in a secure place. One of the things I like to use is a nursing pillow. You can have them sit down in a safe place; take the pillow and have it set right up against them while supporting your baby's neck and head and positioning your child's arms, make sure their arms are in a good place. Lay the baby gently right where you think it's going to be the safest and then stay really close by or even if you have a wiggly toddler or a young toddler, keep your hands right underneath their arms to help support and make sure that they don't do anything too unexpected. Make sure you tuck your toddler through this. You don't want to have expectations of them that they don't know about. It's really important to tell them what you want them to do clearly and then stay close by so that you can reinforce what you tell them to do. Thanks so much for watching. My name is Christina Gavenda and that's how you bring a baby to a toddler.
