Hi. I'm Brandhyze Stanley with Frugalnomics here at Grey Era Vintage here in New York City. And today I'm going to show you how to distress denim shorts. The tools you'll need are, denim shorts or jeans that you can cut off that you can get at any local thrift store, scissors, tweezers, gloves a bucket and bleach. Our first step would be are take the shorts or jeans that you've cut off, take your scissors and make an incisions anywhere you'd like. The beauty of distressed shorts are you're the artist. You can get as creative as you like. After you make your first cut you'll take the tweezers and you'll begin to just pull away at the white threads to begin the fraying process. You'll repeat that process around each leg and anywhere else that you see fit. Next you'll put on your gloves, you'll take your bucket, fill it about a quarter way with bleach, dip your denim shorts in to the bucket checking on them intermittently every five to ten minutes. And then once you're done with that process, you'll rinse the jeans off to get the bleach off, throw them in the wash and there you have it. That's how you distress denim shorts. I'm Brandhyze with Frugalnomics here at Grey Era Vintage in New York City. Thank you for watching.
