Hi, I'm Winston Widdes, DJ Evolved, broadcasting from Level 3 Records Studios here in San Diego, California for eHow.com and today we're going to be talking about how to add effects to miked drums. So you've gotten a clean sample. It maybe sounds a little something like this. Alright so we've got our drums, we've already recorded them and now what we're going to do is add an effect to the channel to the recording. So like, for example, I've got a flanger right here that I'm going to turn on, and that way I can add effects and do whatever I need to within the mix and that's an easy way to do it and that way if I don't like the effects, I still have a clean audio sample to work with so I can try different effects, different combinations. This is my preferred method because then I still have that sample and it's clean and we can add those effects to the mike drum afterward. So once again, I'm Winston Widdes, DJ Evolved, broadcasting from Level 3 Records Studios here in San Diego, California for eHow.co. We've just finished talking about how to add effects to miked drums.
