Hi, I'm Winston Widdes, DJ Evolved, broadcasting here from Level 3 Records Studios in San Diego, California and today I'm going to be talking about how to speed up your song by 10%. Alright so when we want to speed up a song by 10 percent, there's a bunch of different software that you can use that will do this quick and easy, Audacity is a free software that you can use to do this. I personally prefer Ableton Live, and what we do is we click on our audio sample, we drag and drop that into place and then we simply look at what our beats per minute are, you can use a metronome to time that if you need to or the software, a lot of times will tell you. As you can see the beats per minute for this song is right around 130 so what I'm going to do is multiply that by 10 percent, which gives me 13 roughly, and so I'm going to subtract 13 from this which would give me 116. So I'm simply going to move this down to 116 and then I'm going to play it and that just sped the song up by 10 percent. So once again, I'm Winston Widdes, DJ Evolved, broadcasting here from Level 3 Records Studios here in San Diego, California for eHow.com and we've just finished talking about how to speed up a song by 10 percent.
