AARP or the American Association of Retired Persons offer secondary health insurance policies to supplement medicare parts A, B and D as the primary coverage. AARP does not actually provides the coverage, but it contracts the insurance companies to provide the coverage for its members. The function of AARP medicare supplement plans is to cover the deductibles and co-sharing provisions as well as the gaps left by medicare's part A and part B. The plans will cover medications, doctor visits, outpatient surgery, ambulance cost, laboratory, radiology and other hospital related expenses. But most importantly, it will cover the gaps and balances left by medicare parts A and B. It's important to make sure the plan design and the benefits that you are purchasing. Efforts have been made to simplify the purchasing process so that seniors can more easily understand their options and make educated choices about their coverage. My name is Jeffrey Ingalls.
