Hi, I'm Jennifer Mull with Backwoods in Austin, Texas. Today, we're going to talk about the difference between rayon and nylon camp towels. Basically I'll just start with rayon. It is a product that is made from organic matter. So that does differentiate it. Nylon is synthetic. The other thing that is really important about rayon is that it is softer to the touch and very very absorbent. Nylon has those properties as well as far as absorbency but again it's not quite as soft to the touch. The other thing differentiating the two is that rayon does tend to be a little bit more fragile so you might not have quite as much durability with the rayon product. You can also find camp towels in a variety of other fabrics and materials such as bamboo, polyester to name just a couple. This one that I have in my hand is made particularly, it's made out of polyester. It's very very soft. It's very tightly woven and it can absorb actually up to three times its weight of the water. So that's great and it does, this one as well as the other camp towels you'll find often dry really quickly so that's another thing to look for, however, is just how long it's going to dry because you don't want something that's wet in your backpack, etc., if you're using it in that capacity.
