Hello, I'm Marissa Vicario, Founder of Marissa's Well-Being and Health and Creator of of the Total Reset Healthy Eating Plan. Today, I'm going to show you how to freeze puree without cooking apples. When most people think of purees, they think of first boiling the fruit or vegetable to boil it down and soften it to create a puree. But, there are some ways that you can make purees without even cooking the fruit or vegetable first. We're going to make apple puree today in a blender. We're going to start with six apples of different varieties and once you've washed and cored and peeled and cubed the apples, I'm going to add my cubed apples straight into my blender. It's a great idea to use a variety of different apples so that you get different flavors. But, you can use all one kind of apple if you'd like as well. Once the apples have all gone into the blender, I'm going to add about a cup of water. At this point you can go ahead and add any spices like cinnamon or nutmeg if you'd like and you can also add sweetener. If your apples however are already sweet, then I would recommend leaving your sweetener out and testing the apples before, you can always stir it in later. So, I'm going to add some cinnamon. If I decided to add sweetener, I would use a coconut sugar which is an all natural sweetener that is a consistency of brown sugar. But, I'm going to go ahead and leave it out and wait and see how the apples taste before I add any sweetener. Once your pure, puree, is a nice consistency, you can go ahead and taste test it and then, at this point you can decide if you'd like to add your sweetener. Once you've finished, you can add your puree to a container, seal it tightly and put it into the freezer for later use. And that is how to freeze apple puree without cooking apples.
