Hi, I'm Brian Lipstein, here at Henry Davidson. We're gonna show you how to measure for a men's shirt collar size. First, you take your measuring tape, you have a neck to measure around. You wanna wrap the tape around the neck, make sure you get inside the collar, so actually loosen your collar for me if you would. Very good. Make sure you get in around where the collar is going to sit. And then with one finger behind the tape, you're gonna just pull it snug, but not tight, and go ahead and read the sizing. Right here we have 15 and a quarter. That would be the neck size. If buying a shirt off the rack, generally you wanna add about a half an inch to that size to allow for any sort of shrinkage during the first couple of washings of the shirt. The other thing you need to know in order to buy a shirt off the rack is going to be the shirt sleeve length. To measure the shirt sleeve length you actually come from the center back here, across the shoulder, down the arm, and we measure to the middle knuckle, which here is 33 inches, and then go ahead and subtract two inches off of that so that the shirt, the cuff of the sleeve sits right at the wrist. So, he would be a 15 and a quarter 31 shirt. Again, I'm Brian Lipstein, here at Henry Davidson, showing you how to measure for a men's shirt collar.
