Hi, I'm Brian Lipstein, President of Henry A. Davidsen, and we're here today to show you how to look good in a pinstripe suit. Most guys gravitate towards a pinstripe suit because it has a visual effect of making them look taller and slimmer. However, if done incorrectly, it can have an adverse effect. So we wanna make sure that when we're choosing a pinstripe, we choose a stripe that has a balance that's equal to the balance of our body. We don't want the stripe to be too wide if we're skinny, and we don't want the stripe to be too narrow if we're not. Pinstripes can come in all sorts of different widths as well as patterns and colors. You can have multi-stripes that are different width pinstripes within the same pattern, or you can have a dot stripe like we have here on the mannequin, which is actually a disconnected stripe giving a little bit stronger visual effect. When mixing shirts with the pinstripe, we wanna make sure that the pattern is a varying degrees of scale. If the pinstripe on the suit is wide, we wanna make sure that the shirt is narrow, and vice versa. If the pinstripe on the suit is narrow, the stripe on the shirt should be a little bit wider. Almost any tie can be combined with a pinstripe suit because we're not having vertical stripes on the tie. Generally they will be diagonal. Occasionally you'll get a horizontal stripe, but you can do any sort of solid or paisley tie as well with a pinstripe suit. So there's a couple tips on how to wear a pinstripe suit, and again, I'm Brian Lipstein, here at Henry Davidsen, giving you a couple tips.
