Hi, my name is Christina Gavenda at Domesticfelicity.com and today we're going to talk about how to break the habit of your baby falling asleep in your arms. This is something that a lot of new moms do. They feed their baby and then rock their baby to sleep and it feels so good to have them in your arms that you just let them fall asleep there on a regular basis. Well that kind of gets a little old and sometimes you want to be able to lay then down and then when you go to lay them down for them to fall asleep on their own, they just won't do it. You've kind of made a problem for yourself but it's a small problem and an easy problem to fix, it just takes some time. In breaking this habit, it's really helpful to have an established routine where they no what to expect leading up to nap time and know what to expect leading up to bedtime. Some parents involve a bath in that, some parents involve a book. Some parents just involve bouncing them in a quiet location near their bed for a couple of minutes before they lay them down. Whatever works for your family is what's best. You just want to make sure that you're patient with your baby and with yourself. In the long run, this really is a small problem to have. Playing music in your baby's nursery can be a really helpful tool in helping them relax and establish a routine. Thanks so much for watching. My name is Christina Gavenda and that's how to break the habit of your baby falling asleep in your arms.
