Hello, my name is Adam Bates and I'm with Insurance Services of America, and today I'm gonna share with you how temporary health insurance works. If you have temporary health insurance, you have the freedom to choose any doctor or hospital. You can pay on a month-to-month basis, and the insurance covers you for doctor office visits, hospitalizations, as well as prescription medication. To use temporary health insurance, you'll need to apply, get a policy and an ID card. You can go to any doctor usually, and they'll look at your ID card, they'll call to verify your benefits, and if they don't take your insurance or direct bill, then in most cases you'll have to pay for your expenses and then file a claim. Most temporary health insurances have a deductible that you have to meet first. So after your deductible then the insurance will start paying benefits. Temporary health insurance can be purchased online or through a local broker, and it can be used anywhere from one month of the twelve months, and you'll wanna make sure that you find the right temporary health insurance that works specifically for your states. My name's Adam Bates, and I'm with Insurance Services of America.
