Hi, I'm your salsa sister, Carolyn Goldwater with Goldwaters.com, and today we're making an easy crock pot slow cooker chili. I have browned this one pound of ground beef and I've drained off the oil so I'm getting ready to assemble it now. Make sure you have a slow cooker, add your beef, already browned, let's put it right here I guess and we're going to add a can of stewed tomatoes, we're adding a can of tomato sauce. We're adding a cup of water, a can of beans, we're using dark kidney beans but you can use pinto beans or black beans if you prefer and we have the onions, the sour cream and the cheese for later. Now, this is the important part, don't forget your chili powder or else you won't have a chili. We're using a tablespoon of chili powder, just pour, that's about a tablespoon and we're using a tablespoon of garlic powder. And then you're going to use salt and pepper to taste. I'm going to put a couple big pinches in and then we'll see what it tastes like once it gets blended down. Now we're going to stir this up and put it on low for about six hours. If you want to eat it right away, you can put it on high for about three to four hours but the chili is ready to go and we're going to give it a few hours in the crock pot and we'll show you what it looks like in a minute. So after giving this about six hours in the crock pot we have a delicious chili and I suggest that you serve it with a quesadilla possibly or some corn bread. We like to make corn bread with cheese and green chiles. It goes really nicely with a spicy bowl of chili. I suggest putting, using a little sour cream, a little bit of cheese and a few onions, maybe a little cilantro or jalapenos to give it a little extra zest. So here we have our slow cooker easy chili recipe that we've made today. We're serving it with quesadillas. Doesn't that look wonderful? Enjoy.
