Hi, I’m Stephanie Prosenjak from Cherry Creek Dance. I’m here to give you a few team building games for your cheerleading squads. The most popular one that we’ve had this year was bringing in a couple of poster boards along with stacks of sticky notes and Sharpies. The girls are able to write “Good luck” notes, you know, “Congratulations” notes, “You did a great job in the performance,” and then you keep those stacks for about a month, and the boards get filled up. Then, you can distribute those and take them home to hang at their house. Next, we have a circle game, where the person starts, they look to their right and give a positive comment. Then, the person next to them turns to the right, and so on. Everybody feels very included and worthy of being on a team. Lastly, we have a sleepover that we do once a year. The girls bring in desserts or snacks, you watch a movie, you can paint nails, do crazy hair. Just make it a fun night of just enjoying each other’s company. I hope these few team building games help you and your cheerleading squad. I’m Stephanie Prosenjak from Cherry Creek Dance.
