Hello I'm Chef Jennifer Booker, the owner and executive chef of Your Resident Gourmet. Today I'm going to show you how to make healthy vegetable dip with cream cheese. So here are our ingredients, low fat or fat free cream cheese, fresh green onion, red chili flakes, diced onion and celery, roasted and diced tomatoes and shredded broccoli, carrots and cabbage, a little sea salt and fresh ground black pepper. First, let's make sure our cream cheese is nice and soft. Okay, let's add some of our red pepper flakes. This will add a nice little heat to our healthy cream cheese dip, our diced onion and celery, the roasted tomato adds a nice flavor and color and our shredded vegetables for crunch. Let's make sure we stir that until it's well combined. Let's put a little cracked black pepper and a little fresh cracked sea salt. Finally we'll add a little fresh green pepper. I like to cut on an angle, also known as a bias cut, because it gives a nice long lean cut. We're only using the green and we can use the rest for another recipe. Add your green onion and stir until well combined. Make sure you serve this chilled at least two hours and it goes great with fresh cut vegetables and low fat crackers.
