Hello, I'm Dr. Cindy Bunin with Today, I'm here to talk about why it's important to sing to your child. Singing is the easiest activity you can do with your child, especially babies and that's the best time to start. The reason babies love to hear you sing is because it mimics the way they talk, it mimics their sound. So it's really important. As a music therapist I can tell you that not only is it good for bonding with your baby but it's important for auditory stimulation, what is auditory stimulation? It's how babies learn to hear. It's how they learn language. Singing is also great because they learn language. They learn words, they learn sounds so they can put it all together and the best part is social interaction. When you sing to your baby you're singing, you're playing, you're looking into their eyes and you're having a wonderful wonderful time and by the way it does not matter if you sing off key, if you sing horribly. It just doesn't matter. They just love being with you, hearing your voice and playing. So just enjoy and sing away. This is Dr. Cindy Bunin with for eHow, until next time.
