Hi, my name is Alex Cecilio. I'm a graphic artist. I'm going to show you how to draw a road in Adobe Illustrator. So real quick I'm just going to draw our foreground and then our background so that you can understand where the road is going and the way I'm going to draw it is so that it's going outward. So it's going to go into the horizon. Okay, so I'm going to, this, go to Window and layers and once you've drawn your background layer, which is right here, just lock that and add a new layer which I already did. And then go to view and actually don't do this, I'm going to hide my grid. So then you're going to go to the pen tool which is up in the left corner next to your type tool, select a black or a dark gray, it's really up to you but I'm going to select black and then from there I'm going to start drawing my horizon line or sorry my road from my horizon line. So, alright, so now we've got our road. So I'm actually going to lock that layer as well. And then add another one and now I'm going to draw the lines in the road and there are a couple of different ways you can draw lines but I'm just going to draw the basic line all the way down the middle and actually I changed my mind. I'm going to make the double line. So with this you're going to want to tilt it a little bit, just a little bit, not a whole lot because these two lines are going to be directly next to each other. And make sure that this line is colored but in the stroke, not in the fill. So if you are having trouble with that you can just go up to the top left, click this button right here, put the square in the middle and it will change your stroke weight, I'm sorry your stroke color. And then I'm going to make this a little bit bigger, probably 10, yeah and then instead of uniform I'm going to select with profile 4 this triangular thing. And then I'm just going to select that and rotate it. So that way it's going outward and then I'm going to hold down option and select it and drag it so that makes a copy and just tilt it a little bit this way and do the same thing and I'm going to put these a little closer together. And there you've got your road. And there you are, there's your road. My name is Alex and this is how you draw a road in Adobe Illustrator. Thank you.
