Hi, my name is Matthew Pierce. I'm a Software Engineer and today, I'm going to show you how to remove Rapid Antivirus from your PC. Rapid Antivirus is malware or malicious software that runs into your PC and somehow causes you damage either by stealing information from your PC or damaging the information on your PC or causing you to spend money to get rid of it that you don't need to. Now, one of the easiest and best ways to get rid of it is to use some of the freely available anti malware software. There are four piece of anti malware software that my, are my favorites. One is SuperAntiSpyware. Another is Malwarebytes. Another is Spybot Search and Destroy and another is SpyHunter. They're all freely available, they have paid versions that you can go with too that have additional features that you might find useful. But, the freely available versions are everything you need to get rid of malware. So, the first thing you want to do is go onto the Internet and download them from their sites. You can just Google them by name, SuperAntiSpyware or Mal, Malwarebytes or Spybot or SpyHunter and you can get to the download sites and then copy them down to your PC and install them. Now, when you install them, they're going to want to run and disinfect your PC right away. But, you don't want to do that. What you want to do is you want to, to run them one at a time and allow them to update their virus definitions. Now, a virus definition is the files of information that they use to identify and remove malware from your PC. So, you want to get those things up to date first before you do anything 'cause you don't want to be searching for old viruses when you may have some new malware or something on your PC. Once you get them installed, you're not going to want to run them from your regular log in. What you want to do is boot up into what's known as safe mode. To do that, reboot your PC and then tap the F8 key repeatedly as it's coming up and that will bring up a screen which will give you options to boot in the safe mode, safe mode with networking capability or what not, just to safe mode with no network or anything. It's all you need, it's the most isolated and best way to run the software. Once you get the software up and running, you're going to want to do your first scan and just, you know, pick one of the applications to with to scan first. I usually start with SuperAntiSpyware because it's one of the most thorough. It does a really good job and it's, it's really pretty easy to get going. Now, you're going to want to do a complete scan. They all will give you options to do a quick scan or something like that. You want to do a complete scan. And once you get the, that picked and selected, click the scan button, choose your hard drives that you want to scan and let it go. Now, it may take sometime to do the scan depending upon how much hard drive you space, so it, how much hard drive space you have; so, give it time, go off and do something, check back periodically to see if it's done. When it gets done, it's going to want to reboot your PC; don't let it do it yet. Just exit the tool and start the next one; like if you started with SuperAntiSpyware, do Malwarebytes next and so on. You want to go through all the list of tools that you've downloaded and installed, let them all run, scrub your machine and then when you get to the last one, when it ask you to reboot, go ahead and reboot and will reboot your machine. It will come up clean and your malware will be gone. I'm Matt Pierce, today, I showed you how to remove RapidAntivirus from your PC. Thanks for watching.
