Hi, I'm Summer Spence. I am a cosmetologist and I am at the Wedding Cottage Hawaii. And I'm going to show you how to decorate a flower girls hair. To decorate a flower girls hair I'm going to use flowers. These are plumeria. When choosing a flower make sure that you pick a flower that does not brown easily. Orchids are really good. And plumeria do last a few hours as well so then they can last through the ceremony and the reception and still look fresh and pretty. So here we have bobby pins and flowers. You can take the bobby pin and you can slide it in the bottom of the flower and then that way it gives you a little bit more room to have leverage as you slide the flower into the hair. When using flowers for a hair accessory choose an odd number, 3, 5, or 7. Taking the flowers and working your way around you can bunch 3 together and take 2 and put them on the other side. I've created a crown tiara type design. And now after I've put the flowers in with that bobby pin as the stem, I take another bobby pin and just secure that in place by sliding another bobby pin that will cross over and hold it securely. I'm Summer Spence and I just showed you how to decorate a flower girls hair.
