Hi, my name is Erica Lugbill and I'm an Interior Designer working for Lugbill Designs in Chicago. Today, I'm going to be covering how to pick out paint colors for your interior. When you go to the hardware store, don't ever trust the lighting. Always grab a bunch of colors that you think are in the tone that you'd like to see in your space and take them home to your own lighting and your own environment. So, say I'm looking for a soft neutral warm gray tone. I grabbed all of these colors that were right in a row in the paint section. And then, you can see here, this is too pink, then it goes really yellow, this is nice and in the middle and then we start getting kind of green. So, I'm going to say that this is exactly what I'm looking for and putting it next to these other colors makes that very obvious. After you think you've narrowed it down to the right swatch, go ahead and take this swatch and tape it directly up onto the wall, in several rooms too if you're planning on painting the color throughout the home. And then, that way you have the opportunity to see the different tones and the different saturation that's on that particular card throughout the day, you know, affected by the natural daylight and by your lighting that's within your home and you can make sure that you're satisfied with the color. Thanks for watching my video today. I hope you found these tips helpful.
