Hi my name is Alex Cecilio. I'm a graphic artist and I'm going to show you how to make tattoo art in Photoshop. So suppose you've made a piece of art that you like and that you want as a tattoo but it's not really formidable as a tattoo. So most people would just you know, trace it but what you can do actually in Photoshop is you can take the image and use the free form pen tool to make outlines and such. So I've actually already started here. So I'm just going to keep kind of going and just show you what I'm doing here. So under the pen tool this is what it normally looks like, just hold it down and select the free form pen tool and this is going to give you some flexibility for your image, sorry for your lines. So like you can use it the same way you would use the Paintbrush tool. So you can just go on and like trace your drawing and the cool thing about the free form pen tool is you can make as many marks as you want and pick up the pen as many times as you want which you can't really do with the pen tool because it's kind of like magnetized almost. So I'm just really quickly going to sketch these out or trace them I should say. And basically what I'm trying to do here is I'm not tracing it like exactly I'm trying to just make a copy of it, a very simple copy so that if I wanted to show this to a tattoo artist they would really just need to see the lines and I would bring the actual drawing and maybe have them edit it or take a look at it and give me some tips on it but this is something you can do just to kind of save some time for you and for them. Almost finished here. I'm just going to do these. I'm actually going to do those last and you'll see why in just a moment. Okay so I've got pretty much everything I want traced I think. So then what I'm going to do is I'm going to right click and say stroke path and say okay. So now I have my basic outline and the way you can actually, the way you can fix, the way you can make it thicker if you feel like doing it, because I know that some tattoos have thicker lines than others, if perhaps maybe that isn't thick enough for you, there's something you can do where you, I'll show you in just a moment. You can go to your brush, select it, select a thicker line so maybe 5 and then go back to your free form pen tool and fill a stroke path and it will be a thicker line if that's what you are looking for. And then you can take it out, you can color it, do whatever you want, but this will just make it a lot simpler for your tattoo artist if you know, if you want your own design, but you also want you know it to be a lot more simplified like I said. So, and there you have your tattoo art and then you add you now, add your colors. My name is Alex and this is how you make tattoo art in Photoshop. Thank you.
