Hi, I'm Terri Henry, founder of Typically, I market restaurants, but this time it's my turn to be in the kitchen. I'm going to show you how to make a delicious pesto hummus. What we want to start with, well, you need your food processor, very important, a blender won't do, we need a food processor. We are going to add two cups of rinsed and drained, cooked garbanzo beans. A little bit of lemon, about three, three, four tablespoons of lemon; it just brightens it up a little bit. We'll add a clove of garlic, we're going to add a little bit of sea salt, a little bit of pepper, a little bit of olive oil, just a tablespoon or so of Tahini - which is a sesame paste - just to give it that meat flavor. We've got a quarter cup of toasted pine nuts, you can use raw pine nuts, but I prefer a little bit more toasty flavor. O.k., and then, the secret weapon, basil. We're going to add about a half a cup of fresh basil and that's going to make it the pesto hummus. Pour everything in the food processor, and there we go. And that should do it. And you serve this up with raw vegetables, pita chips, pita bread that's toasted, it's delicious. Thanks for cooking with me, I'm Terri Henry with
