I'm Vince Rogers with Vince Rogers and Associates. We're going to talk about how to run an outbound telemarketing sales operation. A telemar, an outbound telemarketing sales operation is, is a business that sales products directly to customers over the phone. Now, there are three aspects to a successful outbound telemarketing sales operation. One, you need to have well-trained sales personnel. Your training staff should be able to deliver quality training in the areas of product knowledge, sales and customer service. You need to have high quality sales prospecting and a conducive call center environment. A good sales call to a bad prospect is a wasted opportunity. You must have good sales lead. Also, remember that every sales call made to potential prospect, the customer doesn't view these sales calls coming from the employee. They view these as coming from the company. So, you must grab your way to hire good sales people that represent your company well and you need to train them well to represent your company in the best line. Also, familiarize yourself with laws regarding telemarketing in your state. Telemarketing for products such as investments are heavily regulated.
