Hi, I'm Christy Wilhemi with, and this is the best way to support cucumbers. In my opinion, the best way is to use a trellis, and you can use any number of different kinds of trellises. You can use a metal one, like this one. This is an accordion folding metal trellis. You can use bamboo stakes with heavy twine between them. You can use a nylon netting that's stretched around a frame. As long as your frame is installed really strongly, this nylon netting that has space in between for your hands to get in, works really well. You can also use recycled materials, like an old chain-link fence, or some chicken wire, or you can get a cucumber-specific trellis. You can also make one. But this is the idea. This is one from Gardener's Supply, and the idea is it's kind of a "lean to". It's a metal trellis with legs, and it leans over a certain area of the garden, where underneath you can plant things like lettuces that don't do as well in hot weather. So, the idea behind this is that the cucumbers kind of fall through and hang straight, so you don't end up with bent cucumbers when it comes to harvest time. So, those are my ideas for the best way to support cucumbers. I'm Christy Wilhemi with
