Hi, my name is Alex Cecilio; I'm a Graphic Artist, I'm going to show you how to make your design engraved in Illustrator. So, I've already drawn this moon shaped and I'm going to make it look like it's engraved on this gray rounded rectangle. So, basically, all you have to do is draw your rounded rectangle or whatever you're going to make it look engraved on and just lock that layer so that way you're not going to mess around with; it won't mess with your design. So, make sure you have this selection tool selected and just drag it across onto your image and then, you're going to want to hold that option and just drag it to create another one. And then, just go over to, oops, go over to your color palette and just select red and then, cop, and re-select your black moon shape and just hit command C to copy it and then delete it. And then, drag your white shape above onto here and then re-paste it. And now, you can, let me see just a little bit and so now, you can just move it an inch, not even, just one, one push of your left arrow key and down or up, it doesn't matter, but I want mine to look kind of like that. So then, you're going to select your black shape and you'er going to go over to your transparency window and select; oh no, it's too, oops, here we have 48 and there you've already got your kind of engraved look. But, supposed maybe that's still not enough for you, so, you can pull that off and then click your white shape and just go back to your transparency and make it a little bit lighter or less opaque. So, I'm going to do 77 percent and then, I'm going to just drag this right back on top and put it where it was so that way you've got our engraved shape. And then we're going to make that slightly less opaque and there you have your engraved design in Illustrator. My name is Alex Cecilio and this is how you create an engraved design in Illustrator. Thank you.
