Hey, I'm Lauren Imparato, Founder and Owner of I.AM.YOU. At I.AM.YOU, I teach Yoga, but I also work as a Nutritionist and being a Cali girl, salads are my favorite foods. Today, I'm going to teach you how to make a pear and walnut spinach salad. So, you're going to first need a base of baby spinach. It's the best, you can already buy it pre-washed, saves you a ton of time. You're going to take some spinach and place it in a bowl. Set it aside for a bit. Now, I live in Italy for awhile and in Italy, they have the most magical combination, which is walnuts, pears and Parmesan. But, the key is actually the pear with the Parmesan cheese. So, you're going to take a pear and put it into small slices and then, you're going to take Parmesan and slice it as well. I've some pre-sliced, we'll cut some slices here and you're going to set that aside. In a small bowl, you're going to take olive oil with balsamic vinaigrette, olive oil and vinegar and you're going to stir it up. And you're going to pour it all over the spinach and toss the spinach. Then, I'm going to put the walnuts in and toss that. And then, I'm going to put slices of pear and Parmesan pretty close together so that people when they take a bite, they can get a bite of the pear and the Parmesan together. I'm telling you, this is a combo, you're not going to want to miss. So, here you go. Lauren Imparato from I.AM.YOU. Enjoy your salad and this one goes great with any Italian wine.
