Hi, I'm Jill Maria, and I'm a makeup artist and stylist at Salon 27. Today, we're going to talk about if you need a brush to apply fluid eyeliner. My suggestion is that yes you do. I always use a fine tip brush to apply the liquid eyeliner and you're just going to start in the middle of the lower lash line and you're just going to apply it in small strokes right along the lash line. You probably could apply the fluid eyeliner without a brush but I think it would be a lot harder to apply and you might not get the precise look that you'll get with the brush. You're going to bring it out to the corner and do a little V just for the dramatic look and then once you let that dry for just a minute you can take a sponge tip applicator and just clean up the area and let that eyeliner dry. do the same thing on the other side and bring it across the line, lash line, bring it out to the corner and the same thing, you want to take the sponge tip applicator and just clean up the area and kind of smudge it in where it blends. So as you can see, in my opinion, I would think that you would need to use the fine tip brush to apply the fluid eyeliner. I'm Jill Maria with Salon 27.
