Hi. My name is Clarice Lam, I'm the chef and owner of The Baking Bean, and I'm going to show you how to make French pastry cream. So, I have in this pot, I've got some milk, I have some vanilla bean paste - if you want to be fancy schmancy, you can certainly use a vanilla bean, it doesn't bother me, some sugar, and just another a pinch of salt. I've got here an egg and a couple of yolks, and over here I have some cornstarch. So, to make the French pastry cream, I've got the eggs right here. I'm going to add the cornstarch into my egg mixture. So we're going to put this in here - ooh, also, before I put this in here, you want to turn your fire on so that you're heating up the milk mixture. So I'm just going to combine the eggs with this cornstarch. Try not to have the cornstarch fly all over the place. I'm going back to my pot right now with my milk mixture, and.
