Hi, this is Melissa Ndubilo at Pampered Tresses in Allen, Texas. And today, I’ll be showing you how to divide hair for weaving. Today, I’ll show you how to section off hair for a more natural-looking weave with some of your hair out. So, depending on what side you wear your parting, you’ll take about a two to three-inch section out around your part. Our model here will be wearing a left-sided part, so I’ve taken out a V-shaped section along her hair parting. And also, to keep the weave looking natural, we’re going to take out hair – leave out hair – along the hairline. And, it’s about an inch along the hairline, so I just section that off all the way to the ear, then again on the other side, about an inch along the hairline, all the way down to the ear. And, if you’ll be wearing your weave in a ponytail, you can also choose to leave hair out along the back of your nape. And also, that’s about an inch section. If you choose to wear a high ponytail, you can take out more hair from the ear all the way around. Coming back around to your ear on the other side. And, that will look like a U-shaped section. Once again, this is Melissa at Pampered Tresses in Allen, Texas, and that was how to divide hair for weaving.
