Hi, my name is Marija. I'm a mathematician, and today I'm going to tell you how to find the total feet for a cabinet. So you've probably got a rectangular cabinet and it depends on what part of it you want to deal with. So if you want to know the total feet to see how much fits inside of the cabinet then we're talking about volume. So if it's volume you need then you're got to do length times width times height. So I'd have to measure my cabinet going this way and let's just say it's 8, my cabinet going this way we'll pretend it's 2 and let's say that the height is 10. So if I want to know what is the volume of this cabinet and we'll put this in inches, we're going to do 10 times 8 times 2 so 10 times 8 is 80 times 2 is 160. So the volume would be 160 inches cubed, that's how much material would fit into the cabinet. Now if you wanted to do something like measure it for a lining, if you wanted to measure a cabinet for lining, you would just measure the bottom length and the bottom width and multiply them. So that would be 8 times 2, you would need 16 inches squared to put the lining in here okay? And then if you needed the perimeter for anything you would just add it up. So depending on what you need the measurements for you're going to use either volume or area most likely. My name is Marija, and I just showed you how to find the total feet for a cabinet.
