Hi, my name is Marija. I'm a mathematician, and today we're going to talk about Fibonacci sequence math projects. So, it's always nice to be able to relate the real world to math, and with the Fibonacci sequence, you can do that pretty easily. So, there's a bunch of different topics that you can have the kids relate to the Fibonacci sequence, one of them being the pattern in a pine cone. So, I'm just going to write down a few for you, and you can have them make the connection and discover it. The other thing is the shell of a snail. So, the pattern that's formed on the shell of a snail also deals with the Fibonacci numbers. Curve of waves in the ocean. And, probably the one that people have heard of most is the breeding of rabbits. So, how they exponentially breed. So, these are just four examples out of many, many ways that the Fibonacci sequence is related to real life, and it would probably be a nice project for students to pick any one of these four and show their relation to math and the numbers and their existence all over nature. My name is Marija, and I just showed you some examples of Fibonacci sequence math projects.
