Hi, my name is Barbara Brenseke and I'm from Train For The Game on Long Island. Today, we're going to talk about dumbbell exercises for elbow pain. There are a variety of different types of elbow pain. The main cause of elbow pain is tendinitis, which is an inflammation in the tendons that connect soft muscle tissue to your bone. Some causes of elbow pain could be from racket sports which is the most common cause, golfer's elbow which is on the inside of your forearm, tennis elbow which is on the outside of your forearm or just from overused injuries from gardening or other types of other household injuries. The best way to relieve the elbow pain is to get range of motion back into your forearm. You ca achieve this by facing your palm downward while pressing your fingers towards the ceiling. Or the opposite, bringing your palm up towards the ceiling, pressing your fingers downward. You can increase the range of motion while make the exercises more difficult by adding very light dumbbells.
