Hi, I'm Kerianne Mellott from I'm a marketing coach and a social media expert. Do you have someone on your Facebook friends list who is constantly posting things in the news feed and you just don't want to see it anymore? Maybe they're posting ranting and raving or maybe they're posting motivational pictures and quotes and your inspiration quota is completely filled up but you just can't take it anymore. But you don't want to necessarily delete or unfriend them either. Facebook has a solution. And in this video I'm going to show you how you can select the appropriate filters for different people in your news feed. What you'll do is first go to a post from this person who you want to not unfriend but hide from their news feed posts. Scroll to the top right of their post and mouse over a spot where you will see different options. The options will read you can either hide the story, report the story, or Spam, and then underneath you will see different options that you're subscribed to that person. And you can be subscribed to all their updates, most of their updates, or only the important updates. Select whichever one you prefer. This also works for a Facebook page. Do the same thing where you scroll to the right of the post and look for the option to choose your proper settings. This way you won't have to see their posts but you'll still be connected and can still go to their profile if you want to take a look at what they have going on. I'm Kerianne Mellott from And I'll see you again somewhere online.
