Hi, I'm Jimmy Chang, and we're here to talk about instructions for bisecting a line segment. Now in terms of bisecting what you're doing is you're cutting anything in half at a 90 degree angle. So when you're bisecting a line segment, you're actually just doing that to a line segment itself so here's a couple of basic instructions to help you. Now a line segment is connected by two points at the end. Now when it comes to bisecting it what you want to think about is this, identify the midpoint first. That's really going to be the key because bisecting it you're cutting it in half. So identify the midpoint which is over here and then when it comes to bisecting it, at this midpoint, draw a line that's vertical and bisecting means you're cutting it in half but also at a 90 degree angle. So when it comes to bisecting a line segment, draw a line segment first, identify the midpoint and then draw a vertical line down the middle and then you'll have it. So I'm Jimmy Chang, and there are the instructions to bisect a line segment.
