Hi, I'm Daria Artem, chief confectionery officer of LadyFortunes.com, and I'm here to show you how to melt your own marshmallows on a stove top do that you can make your own fondant. Well we're going to start with a pot and we're going to put some cooking spray into it. Just a little bit ought to do it. And I have a little, portable stove top right here, but you can use yours. We're going to put that right on top of that. And I've got about 20 ounces of mini marshmallows. I like to use the mini marshmallows. And we're just going to drop that right in to there. And we're going to go ahead and put it on to medium heat and you want to give it an occasional stir. To where we're just stirring it like so. And we're going to take a little bit of water, just plain water. I would put in about three or four tablespoons of it. For you know, 16 ounces to 20 ounces. That helps aid the melting process. And we just keep stirring. You want to make sure that you don't burn your marshmallow. You definitely need to stir it otherwise if you burn the marshmallow you're going to end up with caramel, and that's good but it's not good for fondant. I got to give it stirs. And this is going to take about five to eight minutes depending on the size of the pot you have and how it's working. OK. So we've been stirring this for about five minutes now, and as you can see, the marshmallows are beginning to become more and more smooth. And this is pretty much almost. I'd say this is pretty much melted This is as melty as the marshmallows are going to get. At this point you're going to go ahead and follow our recipe for making your very own easy fondant. You can go to www.LadyFortunes.com for our wonderful recipe and that's how you melt marshmallows on the stove top to make your own easy fondant.
