Now, what's the first thing that comes to mind when I say the word, tropical. Survey says, beaches, that's right. Surf, sand and sun. The warm breezes and tropical sands as well as flowers. Now, to bring the beach to your bedroom, you want to use cool laid back colors like those found in the Caribbean hot spots or the Art Deco hotels of Palm Beach. So, here are some examples of tropical paint colors. So, you've got your high energy colors like your flamingo all the way down to your cool serene colors that are like a reflection of the waters. So, here are some tips before you start painting. Don't just go to the paint store, buy a gallon a paint and hope the colors going to look great on the wall. What you need to do is test a few paint colors that you like. How? By actually painting a large two foot by two foot swatch on the wall, leaving it there, let it stay there for a few days so that you can see the paint color during the day without the light on, during the day with the lights on and at night. And the great thing is that when you're testing paint colors, you don't have to buy a gallon of paint or even a quart 'cause most paint manufacturers create sample sizes.
